A quieter kind of puzzle
Sudoku without ads
Flora & Fauna is a free sudoku app for iPhone with no adverts. Not fewer adverts, not adverts you can pay to remove. None.
What an advert costs a puzzle
Sudoku is a quiet game. You settle in, hold three possibilities in your head, and follow a thread of logic to its end. An advert cuts that thread every time: a video after every board, a banner flickering under the grid, a countdown you must sit through to earn a hint. Most free sudoku apps work this way because the adverts, not the puzzles, are what pay for them.
How Flora & Fauna stays quiet
We built the game we wanted to sit inside: aged paper, ink rules, and a watercolour specimen hiding behind every box. Nothing on the page competes with the puzzle. When you finish a box, the reward is not an advert break; it is a kingfisher, painted the way a nineteenth-century field artist would have painted it, joining your collection.
There are no accounts to create, and nothing about you is tracked or sold. A new daily puzzle arrives each morning, and your streak forgives a missed day.
Try it before you download
There is a free daily sudoku on this site, in the same aged-paper style, with no adverts on the page either. If it feels right in the browser, it feels better in the app.
Common questions
- Is Flora & Fauna really free with no ads?
- Yes. Flora & Fauna is free to download on the App Store and contains no adverts of any kind: no banners, no interstitials, no video ads between puzzles.
- Why do most free sudoku apps have so many ads?
- Most free sudoku apps earn their money from advertising, so the game is built to show you as many adverts as possible: one after every puzzle, one for every hint, and banners besides. The puzzle is the bait; the advert is the product.
- Does Flora & Fauna sell my data instead?
- No. There are no accounts, no tracking, and no analytics profile of you. Your collection lives on your device and is yours alone.
